In September 2007, after 10 years as a developer, software engineer and entrepreneur in the computers and Internet industry, one day all my data was gone. Just like that. Poof!

My finance files and documents, my development files, all my MS Office files. All my family pictures, video movies and all my music files; everything was gone… My hard disk crashed, just like that out of the blue. It was an out and out hardware failure, and with all my computer skills, even I couldn’t do anything about it.

I was very upset and VERY frustrated, “How come I didn’t backup my data?” I asked myself, but it was too late. The damage had been done.

Since the files were so important and I really couldn’t live without them, I started to look for recovery experts. The payment for the recovery was $1700 + $100 for a new hard disk + at least two weeks work = much more then $2000 for the seemingly simple task of not backing up my files; all this despite my knowing all along that it is very important by virtue of my being in the computer industry.
